UBS Appoints Singapore Chief Operating Officer

has appointed Denise Lim (pictured) as chief operating officer of UBS Singapore; she is joining from . Lim had been lead partner at PwC for risk and regulatory topics including conduct and culture, fraud risk and market conduct, anti-money laundering/know-your-client work, and tax-related financial crime matters. In addition, Lim was most recently the human resource partner for her business unit looking after talent management, recruitment, mental wellbeing as well as diversity and inclusion.
As part of Lim’s role, she will include improving overall employee engagement and culture for UBS in Singapore, according to a memo seen by this news service.
Among recent moves, UBS appointed former HSBC Private Banking senior figure Michelle Lau as head of wealth planning for Southeast Asia; Matthias Schacke was named UBS country head for India; and Kishore KV became head of chief digital and information officer of Asia-Pacific. He took on the role alongside his position as CDIO, global wealth management, and as location head of CDIO Singapore.
In May, UBS launched a digital platform connecting clients to a range of its experts and thought leaders who can put clients' ideas into action. The new app called UBS Circle One – which was co-created with 100 clients in Hong Kong and Singapore – was launched in the Asia-Pacific region first.
